Dr David Haley

David Haley is an ecological artist, researcher and eco-pedagogue with specific interest in generating dialogues for ‘capable futures’ that question the nexus of Nature-Climate-Cultural Emergencies.

David is a Visiting Professor at Zhongyuan University of Technology, a Guest Professor, Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico and Guest Professor, Sichuan Fine Art Institute, Chongqing, China. He is an Honorary Fellow of the Chartered Institution for Water and Environmental Management (HonFCIWEM) and Fellow of the Linnean Society, London (FLS).

David is also, Vice Chair of the CIWEM Art & Environment Network, Vice Chair of the Board of Art Gene, a Trustee of Chrysalis Arts Development and Board Member of The Nature of Cities. He is also a member of the ecoart network, UK Urban Ecology Forum and Ramsar Cultural Network. From 2003 to 2016 he was a Senior Research Fellow, Director Ecology In Practice Research and led the MA Art As Environment course at Manchester Metropolitan University.
